1. Scope & Provider

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website art-jungle.de (“Website”) and all purchases made through it. The provider is:

By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. Products & Artwork

Art Jungle sells printed reproductions of artworks on photo paper, cotton paper, and canvas. The artworks in our collection are sourced from the public domain — works whose copyright has expired or that were never subject to copyright. We do not claim copyright over the original artworks themselves.

Our prints are physical reproductions produced in our Berlin studio using archival pigment inks. Product images on the Website are for illustration purposes; colours may vary slightly between screens and the final print due to differences in display calibration and paper surface.

We also offer custom printing services where customers supply their own files. Customers are solely responsible for ensuring they have the rights to reproduce any files submitted for custom printing.

3. Orders & Pricing

All prices displayed on the Website are in Euros (EUR) and include the applicable German value-added tax (VAT, currently 19%). We reserve the right to update prices at any time; however, price changes do not affect orders already confirmed.

An order is placed when you complete the checkout process and are redirected to our payment processor. You will receive an order confirmation by email. A binding purchase contract is formed when we send the order confirmation.

We reserve the right to cancel orders if products are unavailable, if pricing errors occur, or if we suspect fraudulent activity.

4. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. (“Stripe”), a PCI DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. When you enter your payment details at checkout, you are interacting directly with Stripe’s hosted payment page. Art Jungle does not store your full credit card number or payment credentials on our servers.

Stripe may support the following payment methods depending on your location: credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Stripe Link. Your use of Stripe’s services is subject to Stripe’s Terms of Service and Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping is handled through various carriers. Shipping labels and carrier rates are provided by Sendcloud (“Sendcloud”), a shipping management platform. Sendcloud connects us to carriers such as DHL, DPD, UPS, and others. Your shipping address is shared with Sendcloud and the selected carrier solely for the purpose of delivering your order.

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout. These are estimates, not guarantees. Art Jungle is not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs processing, or events beyond our control (force majeure). Risk of loss passes to you upon handover to the carrier.

Flat prints are shipped in rigid, moisture-resistant mailers. Canvas prints are boxed with corner protectors. We use recyclable and compostable packaging materials where possible.

6. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason, in accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and German law (§ 355 BGB).

To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement (e.g., an email to [email protected]) before the 14-day period expires. You must return the goods in their original condition at your own cost (within Germany, we provide a prepaid return label). Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, using the same payment method as the original purchase.

Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to custom-printed products made to your specifications, as these are personalised goods under Article 16(c) of the Consumer Rights Directive.

7. Returns & Refunds

Beyond the statutory withdrawal right, you may return any unframed, undamaged catalogue print within 14 days of delivery. Email us at [email protected] with your order number. Refunds are processed within 5 business days of receiving the return via the original payment method (Stripe).

If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours with photographs of the damage. We will send a free replacement or issue a full refund at your choice.

8. Intellectual Property

While the artworks we reproduce are in the public domain, all other content on this Website — including product photographs, descriptions, design elements, logos, the “Art Jungle” brand, and the Website’s source code — is owned by or licensed to Art Jungle and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Prints purchased from Art Jungle are for personal, non-commercial display. Reproduction, resale, or commercial use of purchased prints is not permitted without written consent.

9. Third-Party Services

This Website uses the following third-party services to operate:

  • Stripe (Stripe, Inc., San Francisco, USA) — Payment processing. Stripe handles all payment transactions and may process data in the USA under their Data Processing Agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Sendcloud (Sendcloud B.V., Eindhoven, Netherlands) — Shipping label generation and carrier rate calculation. Your shipping address is shared with Sendcloud to obtain delivery quotes and generate shipping labels.
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 (Amazon Web Services, Inc., USA) — Secure file storage for product images and uploaded files. Images are stored in the EU (eu-central-1 region).
  • Resend (Resend, Inc., San Francisco, USA) — Transactional email delivery. Your email address is shared with Resend to send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and password reset emails.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA) — Bot protection on forms. Turnstile may collect technical data (IP address, browser type) to verify that interactions are from real users. No CAPTCHA puzzles are shown.

These services may process personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where applicable, appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions) are in place. See our Privacy Policy for details.

10. User Accounts

You may create an account to track orders, save addresses, manage wishlists, and earn loyalty points. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by German law, Art Jungle’s total liability for any claim arising from or related to a purchase is limited to the purchase price of the product(s) in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

This limitation does not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory German law.

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) is excluded.

The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not obligated and not willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of the Website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
