About this print

Charles d'Orbigny published the original plate in Paris between 1841 and 1849 as part of the French reference “Dictionnaire universel d'histoire naturelle”. The composition shows the deep green, variegated foliage alongside a central flower structure. The cross-sections sit at the base of the image.
