About this print
Graphic abstract forms and defined line work turn the scenery into a structured pattern characteristic of Meiji-era books. The original woodblock technique shaped the layered appearance of the hills and streams. The landscape composition originally appeared in a Kyoto design magazine published between 1901 and 1902.
