About this print

Oliver Goldsmith’s natural history plate originates from an edition of “A History of the Earth and Animated Nature”, first published in 1774. Crested, galeated and red curassows stand beside the turkey, showing their specific anatomical features. Hand-coloured details highlight the plumage of each bird.
